Our commitment
Accessible to everyone.
Buying or selling a home is for everyone, and this website should be too. HarvRealtor.net is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), so that visitors using screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion settings get the full site.
Built in, not bolted on
Color and contrast
Text and interactive elements are checked against the WCAG AA contrast minimums, including the gold brand palette, which uses deeper tones wherever it appears as text.
Full keyboard support
Every page starts with a skip link to the main content, focus is always visible, and menus, forms, calculators, and dialogs can be operated without a mouse.
Structure screen readers can follow
Pages use one clear heading hierarchy, named landmarks, labeled controls, and descriptive alternative text on meaningful photos.
Motion that respects you
Animations, the homepage film, and moving charts honor your device's reduce motion setting, and can also be paused on this site directly from the accessibility menu.
Tools on this site
The accessibility menu
Every page carries a round gold button in the lower left corner, marked with the accessibility symbol. It opens a menu of adjustments that apply instantly, and your choices are remembered on this device for your next visit.
These tools are a convenience layer on top of the underlying WCAG work, not a substitute for it. The site is built to be accessible before you touch a single switch.
- Bigger text, in two steps
- Text spacing for easier reading
- Atkinson Hyperlegible, a font designed for low vision
- Highlighted links
- High contrast and saturation controls, including grayscale
- A large cursor
- Left-aligned text
- Hide images to read without distraction
- Pause motion across the whole site
A living commitment
Accessibility is not a one-time project. New listings, market reports, and blog posts are published here regularly, and each one is held to the same standard: descriptive alt text on photos, proper headings, readable data tables, and dashboards that keep their meaning when animation is off.
Some experiences link out to third-party platforms, such as the MLS home search and mortgage tools hosted elsewhere. I choose partners carefully, but I cannot always control their accessibility. If one of them gives you trouble, contact me and I will help you directly or find another way to get you the same information.

Found something hard to use?
I want to hear about it. Tell me what page you were on and what went wrong, and I will fix it or get you the information another way. This statement was last reviewed on July 12, 2026.
